The meat was chewy and absent of flavor and overly greasy (see my picture for reference). Typically when it’s THAT red it is not good in my experience. First red flag was when I saw the radioactive red grease seeping out of the burrito. The guacamole was okay but had no salt or lime in it. I’m pretty surprised with all the high ratings for this place. The food here is below average and not worth finishing. No wonder the place was pretty much packed at 2pm on a weekday.

It's been a few days and looking at the pictures, I'm salivating and craving some more. Next time, I'll stick with al pastor for the tacos. This is great for bigger chunks of meat, like al pastor, but the the "steak" it made it somewhat dry. Their "ground beef" is the same cut of meat, but seasoned in a heavier, spicier sauce. Tacos - the "steak" is more like ground beef, that is just seasoned with salt and pepper. but it was surprisingly bigger and fatter than what they had pictured. We had the al pastor meat for this.īurrito - the menu shows the picture of a very small burrito, so we thought we were getting like a Taco Bell burrito.

We had a little problem with the number of tacos being different from what we had ordered.Ĭhimichanga - pretty much a fried burrito.

Not all the servers speak English well, so it's good to be very clear when. It's not fancy or ambient, but a true Mexican joint with lots of Spanish being spoken, Mexican music playing, and GREAT Mexican food.
